Apprentice Tools Scholarship 2007

The winners of the inaugural Apprenticeship Scholarship for 2006 are:

• Tuka Smith, Northern Southland College
• Kyle Dobbie, Central Southland College
• Bradley Livingstone, Verdon College

Tuka has set his sights on completing the Level 4 National Certificate in Carpentry while Kyle is targeting the Level 4 National Certificate in Joinery. Bradley is seeking to put his electronics experience to good use with the Level 4 National Certificate in Electrical Engineering.

 

Applicants were assessed on their academic background, their interest in ongoing learning, and their knowledge of the trade they wished to pursue an apprenticeship in.

 

The Scholarship valued at $750 is to provide the tools required for the successful applicant’s choice of apprenticeship.
